Siematic Kitchen
Discussion
OP wants to know how much of their undoubtedly good profit the suppliers are prepared to sacrifice ino order to keep the sale. If the supplier was on this forum and posting on this thread he couldn't necessarily be relied on to tell the truth, and for damn sure nobody else knows the answer to the OPs's question.
Yep, ok fair comment :-)
Thats for
Units circa 10k,
1.5k fitting (assuming a prepared site)
4k worktops part Iroko, part quartz
Sink and sundry items about 650.
2k for Neff appliances (Oven * 2, dishwasher *2) we have a couple of Smeg fridges already
1k for glass splashbacks
So most of it looks OK, but the units and worktops are a bit toppy? its a 4m run (low and high), a 2.5m * 90cm island and a 3m low run.
So anyone with experience of the brand and where I might get to? All of the above Ex VAT

What you are being offered for the amount quoted isn't really the issue. The issue is how much profit is the supplier prepared to lose to keep the sale? Also, consider this. If you tell them you want exactly the stuff offered but for a lower price, if they then reduce the price it makes them look as if they were, as the Americans put it, trying to gouge you with the first price.
Suppliers like Wren etc won't care about stuff like that but it may well be that Siematic retailers have thinner skins, maybe even a reputation to protect. I expect they have quite tightly controlled retail prices anyway.
Have you tried asking them? If you do then perhaps say you are prepared to change the spec somewhat in order to get the cost down, which will allow them to knock a decent amount off without it seeming like they were trying it on with the first quote.

Seems not to be overly expensive but it will depend on the furniture finish and internal configuration these have a big impact on cost. Also accessories play a big part in cost than some realise, a plastic cutlery insert is sub £50, fully wood and metal near £500. Both have the same description by a few sharks. Thats for

Super - thanks guys, as I suspected it wasn't far out for a decent installation. I'll have a look at the Siemens options as well.
Right, off to review the other bits of the budget.. Kitchen is a fair way off still. There is a 6m *4.5m hole in the front of the house and a digger in the hallway...

Can't ask for advice and not supply photos etc!!
Siemens !? Upgrade to Miele/Gaggenau. Now in litigation with our Siematic supplier. Make sure the fitter is Siematic trained, and has been on the course in Germany. I would suggest extreme caution if the supplier is close to the New Forest, and the proprietors name sounds a bit like the papers you'd roll a fat one with....
Great kitchen though, once the snagging is done !

I thought NEFF were German too?
In fact I thought the same parent company owns Bosch, Siemens, NEFF and Gaggenau?
Siemtaic is a high end German brand. Siemens would be the lowest spec product I would put in from the BSH group. In fact I thought the same parent company owns Bosch, Siemens, NEFF and Gaggenau?
Ideally you want Gagg with a Siemtaic kitchen but this isn't a large one.

Worse time of year for product snagging has only been over for a couple of week. Fitting snagging should be uber minor at that level. Great kitchen though, once the snagging is done !
