Any word on whats easy to use?

Need to make some plans for an extension, not too worried about fancy features so much as something thats quick and easy to grasp.

I know it's old school, but how about a pencil and paper?

Roomsketcher is free for basic floorplanning and has done the job for me

I fiddled with various software packages but ultimately found it far easier to use a pencil and paper when did our extension.
