covering up recent cage next to our boundary - ideas please
Discussion
So pretty sure other ph would have been in this frustrating situation or something similar, in a nutshell came home sunday evening to find a large aviary/cage for their cats right against our boundary, two and a half feet higher than our regular fence panel, and approx 12 foot long, no discussion, etc etc, although always got on with neighbour, of course its been done the biggest and highest they can have all within regulations, so we are stuck looking at it from every aspect of our garden, its literally as we come out of the back door.
Some how need to hide/screen the wire mesh/wooden frames, from the top of our fence, regular trellis wont work as we will still see the cage behind, any ideas, apart from of course the usual frozen sausages in the lawn!!
much appreciated

Grow bindweed up it?
Seriously though my friend bought pre-trained / pruned trees that give loads of coverage. kind of like spatchcock chicken but in tree form.
EDIT - apparently it is called 'Espalier' when you do it to a tree, spatchcock appears reserved for birds.

Some sort of climbing plant, surely? Or a quicker fix is that trellis you can buy with artificial leaves, something like this?

On the plus side, hopefully it means you won't have the neighbour's cats stting in your garden though

You can get privacy trellis panels that do a good job of screening.

Surely the PH answer is an equally big cage to keep your dogs in
Wouldn't even need a cage.My lurcher would happily spend the day jumping to look over a 6ft panel fence at some cats
Edit
What kind of weirdo has a "cage of cats" anyway

I’m certain there are plants that cats hate and react to. Get a load of that up against the fence pronto.
If it stinks report to Environmental Health
1) That's needlessly aggressiveIf it stinks report to Environmental Health
2) It doesn't stink yet.
I like the idea of an 'aviary for cats' though
Just grow something pretty on it. How high is it - 8.5 feet? Cats aren't that tall.
My concern would be that cats could be kept outside during winter.

its our fence, standard 6ft panel, that now has just over 2 1/2 feet of aviary panels sticking above it, with a lovely (not) blue corrugated plastic roof. looking to move some of our plants around to try and cover some of the bits, but also will be making up something initially to block out what we now get to view out of our kitchen door, sun bed, and deck area. Ironically it cant be used yet, there is no door on it yet, no cat flap so the housecats can come into the enclosure and its wet and cold, so think its going to be a bit of a shock for the rescue cats.
it was just the attitude of its up, its legal, tough, thanks for all the ideas though, pity its not a lovely summerhouse for them, least that would have looked better!!

Assuming the lovely corrugated plastic has a pitch on it, does that flow into your property, or theirs? One is not an issue, one absolutely will be.
I would suggest trellis, and some fast growing plants to cover it. If you are feeling neighbourly, ensure that you plant stuff that's cat safe, because its not the cats fault.
