Move from Yorkshire Wolds to Nottingham area

Coming up soon, I have a career move which may (but hopefully won't) involve a need to move from the beautiful rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds, to somewhere nearer to Nottingham (within an hour's drive). Putting aside house prices, is there anywhere within that area that will 'feel' the same, in order to soften the blow? I really don't want to move but it might be a case of needs must.

Basically looking to spend around £200K mark - round here that gets a 4-bed detached! Also a decent village school would be spot-on.
