FTB Help - £300K budget for home in London Oystercard zone

Hello,

Time to start a family so looking to buy our first home Was hoping for any pointer of where to look for a cheap house in/around London.

- Budget is £300k (not inc stamp duty)
- Near decent schools
- House not a flat, 2-3 bed with garden. terraced is fine.
- An OK neighborhood with families around, not the kind of place where residents thinks its fine to fly tip onto streets....
- would love to be within a short driving distance of a large green space like Richmond Park

Reason for the Oyster Zone is to keep fares down as commute as can only see them going up for foreseeable future.

Any tips of where to start hunting?
