Lighting up an ostrich egg help!

I'm sure this will be a fun challenge for the DIYers of PH.

Quite a few years back I bought Mrs Puggit an ostrich egg in South Africa with a few holes in it. The idea is to place a lamp inside and have a nice talking point. There is a 4cm diameter hole in the egg to allow a light to be put inside it.

I'm struggling to find a suitable fixture to place inside the egg. Ideally quite low sitting, with an on/off switch and cable to a wall socket.

I still haven't got around to this, but started re-researching.

So, how am I going to mount a 4cm hole with a cable in to it? I'm thinking some kind of small rubber cone. Any ideas?
