Raised Brick Flower Bed Footings

Planning to build some raised flower beds before we re-do the grass with artificial grass, only want them raised around 5 courses of bricks & roughly 2ft wide - 1 each side of the garden (small garden).
Base wise for these, what's best? Just dig out a trench and fill with concrete and add some drain holes?
Anyone know how deep I should go? I usually go as deep as I can
