Window quotes - expensive or about right?

Hi,

We moved house last year and are now at the stage of looking at replacing a large number of the windows (and possibly the patio doors at the property):

4x Bevelled Grained Anthracite/White Tilt and turn window with frosted glass - 600mm w x 1000mm h - £421 ex vat each (£1,684)
1x Bevelled Grained Anthracite/White Tilt and turn window with frosted glass - 1200mm w x 1350mm h - £562 ex vat
2x Bevelled Grained Anthracite/White Casement window 3 openings) - 1800mm w x 1350mm h - £740 ex vat each (£1,480)
1x Bevelled Grained Anthracite/White In-line patio door - 2600mm w x 2100mm h - £1,887 ex vat
1x Bevelled Grained Anthracite/White In-line patio door - 1800mm w x 2100mm h - £1,618 ex vat

Total ex VAT - £6,025
Inc VAT - £7,231

On top of this we need some alterations to an opening for the smaller patio door (it's currently a window). I'm not sure if it's expensive or not (it's been a long time since i've purchased any windows (and I know that it's more expensive to have them in the anthracite).

I had in my head £250 for the smaller windows, £350 for the mid size (1200x1350) and £500 each for the larger ones but maybe i'm a little out of touch...

I'm waiting on a 2nd quote but I was wondering if anyone in Bucks/Beds had done something similar recently and could recommend a supplier/fitter?

It probably will be about that by the time they have been in your house for 4 hours, have given you the special "only available if you sign up today" discount and have gone out of the room to speak to their manager and manager's manager on a number of occasions

Haha. This was a small non chain place. I suspect Tilt & Turn adds to the cost etc...
