Chaps, sure its been done to death in some shape or form but would be interested to see where you escape to within your home? Looking for ideas before moving to next home and I definitely want somewhere I can get away to do some work, play, relax etc. Whether its a study, man cave or fully kitted out garage would be great to see! Something I can only dream of. Would be good to see others though.

Next house must have scope for this, some sort of brewery / cinema / pub hybrid is what I need smile
Totally agree! I have a complete open mind as to what space will become mine but I definitely need somewhere.

I'm boring and/or odd.

My favourite room is my office which contains lots of boxes of stuff, shelves of books etc but it's where I happily watch YT videos or waste time online or occasionally get work done.
Sounds like the perfect place to get nothing done Hoofy smile No good without pictures for inspiration though!!

No pictures, sorry, it's not a place to inspire. It's a real man cave of junk.
-Imagine two desks, one has two PC monitors, the other strewn with old watches, a Dremmel, some CDs, some marketing material for my business,
-a third desk has a digital piano on it, next to that an old midi-size stereo
-opposite that wall, shelves of books
-5 old desktop PCs

As I say, not an inspiring place but I get st done in here and I relax in here. My living room is hardly used. I only go in there to use weights stored against one wall or to entertain guests.
I see, sounds like a place where you definitely get stuff done! I must admit I was half expecting something like this smile

[quote=soupdragon1]My previous house I actually was lucky enough to have 2 x man caves smile

I followed your build thread and was very impressed! This is the sort of thing I am drawing inspiration from. If memory serves correctly I also quite liked your window shutters biggrin

Edit To Add: What was the cost of your golf sim room? I like the idea of this with GC Quad but not sure the trouble and strife will be so inclined.

Not quite what you're asking for, but my 'place to escape' is the countryside surrounding where we live. I'd swap all the cinema rooms, fully kitted out garages, studies, etc. for a few miles hiking the stunning landscape (whatever the weather) with my hounds.
Absolutely get that. I am greedy and want both smile wherever we end up it will be in the countryside for that very reason... Shooting & golf are my two main outdoor pursuits and that will not be changing either!

Man cave in progress. Zero tech. Just a series of 'pottering' zones.

Hadn't seen this until now! This definitely warrants a man cave title. Very nice smile
