In France at the moment at son-in-laws house and we have today pulled out a large towable cement mixer from a bramble hedge. The drum is knackered and the mechanism connected to the wheel you use to empty the drum is shattered (cast piece). The drum and the mechanism can be replaced and the parts are available.

The problem at the moment is the wiring for the Honda 5.5 GX160 engine which seems to have been ripped out/modified at some point, hopefully the pic below has posted OK. Is it possible that someone could help with letting me know what should go where.

The wires to the Emergency Stop have been disconnected and joined together and the earth wire is missing (you can just see the red earth tab attached).

Thanks all, will cross post to ebay gen thread.

Had a look at the manuals in the link but the wiring is different to that in the manual but am not sure if there is an oil level switch so will have to investigate.

Replaced the oil and drained all the old fuel and put new fresh petrol in, tested the spark and it does spark weakly with the wiring as it is but the engine doesn't want to fire and just wets the plug up.

Thanks for the response Blue. There is new oil and new petrol so all OK there. Removed and cleaned the plug which was wet after a few pulls, grounded out the plug and there was a spark but a bit weak I think, fuel is getting through because it's puffing out of the plug hole when pulling. I think the next step is to replace the plug and also I think that old fuel may be lurking although the bowl was cleaned out when the old fuel was drained out.

Unfortunately there's no way to disconnect the drum from the motor at the moment as the adjuster to release the tensioner on the drive belt is seized solid, it's a big heavy drum with a massive lump of concrete that's gone off in the bottom of the drum which tries to turn every time the pull cord is pulled.
