Right, the loo doesnt flush. It's full of water up top. Any thoughts - would taking all the plastic bits to bits & cleaning out any chalky build up be the 1st thing to do?

Would it make more sense just to replace the syphon

Likewise.. DIY & me arent good buddies. Am alright at certain things, but seem to have a mental block & take on anything, deeply regretting it soon after.
Waiting for a plumber.
