I was pointed in the direction of these guys:

http://www.theusedkitchencompany.com/

And what do you think?

Seems like you can save some good money, but some of them are god awful...

I suppose the biggest issue is the fact that they are not going to be the exact size of your kitchen and if they were you would be laughing all the way to the bank.

Note to self Might start this as a side line in london, their must be some amazing kichens just being junked out there for nothing... just need a big storage space now...

no, but that woman i hate in the sunday times had a feature where she reckoned she was getting a £60k bulthaup kitchen for £5k through them.
You saw that too... I did once OH basically hit me with it and thought... why not look to shut her up!!

nothing special on the prices mentioned... 5k for a 6 year old kitchen... double that gets me a new one!!

wait until after xmas and you should pick up a brand new quality one for £5-6k in the sales.

i'm always amazed by how much they charge for fitting. i was quoted £2k to fit mine so i thought balls to that and did it myself. ended up being the easiest most straight-forward job i've done on the house so far.
Unfortunatley for me I need the whole room redoing with boiler moving, replastering, new electrics, new lights, etc... etc... before I can think about fitting the kitchen and then the floor last of all.
