My Boiler Controls
Discussion
I have an old boiler (Gloworm condensing from the late 80's) and it is controlled from an old timer on the wall which allows me to have it coming on at a particular time, switching itself off t whatever time you elect by moving the sliders.
It is connected to the electric supply and forces the boiler itself to swing into action at the pre-determined times.
I would like to fit a modern timer control but I am unsure if this is possible. I want to be able to programme electronically when it comes on and turns off, several times a day i.e. first and last thing on an evening.
Is it possible to simply wire a modern control unit in to an old boiler? No pun intended there with my last sentence.
