Post photos of your dogs (Vol 5)
Discussion
I drove the van to Norfolk and found a perfect park up on the seafront on Friday. Spent the weekend enjoying falling asleep and waking up to a beautiful quiet beach a few feet away. Watching the Northern Lights and sunset and sunrise walks for a few days was bliss. Seth loved all the dogs he met and thoroughly wore himself out in the sand and sea.
A couple of hours in Cromer where Seth met a big version of himself, a Finnish Lapphund from Italy with such a gentle soul and friendly owners. A few hours in Sheringham watching steam trains and a few hours in Wroxham on the Broads all for the cost of half a tank of diesel. (And maybe an Ice Cream. And Fish n Chips)
Not sure what we’re up to this weekend but Bank Holiday we have plans with friends to take out boats out to an island we stayed on last year (where I told ghost stories and gave my friend nightmares). Should be fun.

Rex and Chayse chilling in the caravan in Bamburgh before being let loose on the best beach in the UK tomorrow.
Bamburgh is a fantastic beach (been there once)…Rex and Chayse are very lucky!Out with Freddie tonight for dinner then a drink…he’s bust his ear again with excessive flapping hence the plaster!

You need to get out in that caravan more. Bamburgh isn't a patch on the beaches of the Outer Hebrides.

They (especially he) are quite photogenic.
(natural daily environment )
He is a regal lab !
And one of them under the desk has terrible terrible wind.
Could be the fish caught in the reservoir today and half eaten he turned up with !
I’ve struggled at work the past few weeks after the passing of one of Seth’s best friends. She welcomed him in to her life. Taught him to sit and give him her paw and would come at least three times a day to see him with a treat or two. She was sharp as a tack and taught me so much. We’d chat for ages about her home in Yorkshire and her family, she lost her husband at a young age and brought her children up alone whilst working. Then lost her son a few years ago.
She told me of the dogs she had throughout her life and adored Seth. She was excited for our trip to the Peak District as was a place she walked with her late husband.
Unfortunately she was taken in to hospital the day we returned to work after this trip but I printed some photos and a diary for her which her daughter took to her bedside.
She sadly passed away a few days later. Whilst in hospital asked her daughter to bring some bags of treats in to me for Seth as she knew he’d be missing her. We took one of those bags up to our favourite woods tonight along with a white rose picked from my bedroom window and sat and watched the sunset.
It was her funeral today and she was taken back to Yorkshire to be with her late husband and her late son.
I love my job but this has really hit me hard. I know Seth is missing her. He’s been unsettled in the mornings, waiting for her. We both miss our Yorkshire friend and this is for her.
