Actually thinking about it I reckon I'm living in the wrong house, my next door neighbours keep a horse in the back garden, 2 labradors, a bird of some description and a fish called Sydney.

I like wild animals, hate cats and dogs and shifty pets though. Get some real friends you freaks.
I have two cats and real friends. By real friends I think you mean fellow humans, but I can't be sure after such a bizarre post.

After chatting to a few friends it would appear that I'm in a minority!

I just don't get it, animals are stupid they can be expensive, they smell and you can't have a conversation with them (although strangely people try!)

Apparently this makes me a bad person, I can't be on my own?

Defo posted this in the right forum to get people to agree. I'm sure lots of animal haters browse this part of the forums.

It was in the lounge until this afternoon when it was moved.

Giving your own species lesser priority than animals feels very unenlightened to me regardless of what you think of some of its members! Same for those who put their own life in jeopardy to save an animal. Its totally perverse to risk a human life for an animal's in any circumstance! Go ahead and save your baby (or somebody else's) from a burning building but leave the dog I implore you.
My dog fell 10 feet or so into deep water, she clearly couldn't get out herself so I jumped in and swam along with her to a lower part where we could could get back out. I didn't even really think about it, I followed her in just like I'd have done if it had been anyone in my family who fell in.

If some random old lady fell in I wouldn't have cared. And certainly wouldn't have went in after her. I know that sounds awful but I'm not risking my life for someone I don't know, especially a pensioner.
Without doubt one of the most backwards posts I have ever read on PH.

Hey everyone, it's another pearl of wisdom from KFC! Bless.

Most animals are less disgusting then a 2 year old
But kids grow up and, in most cases, become less disgusting. Animals stay that way.
I'd say it's the other way round. Kids grow up & get worse, animals are great companions at any age. Says me trying to type with one hand as our Staffy has decided my other hand is a great pillow to sleep on hehe
You might have a point. HalfPints mk1 (aged 5 and a half) is sitting next to me on the sofa dropping guts and grinning like a Cheshire cat as she does so. grumpy
hehe Actually, that was a rare evening when no disgusting smells exited the dog (maybe the food is working?).

The most important thing is though, you can't leave kids alone all day when you go to work. You can with dogs & they actually want to be with you when you come back hehe

In my mind you're holding up a used kleenex with tweezers and shaking your head.

A little too Close, but you forgot to mention chanting the mantra "why don't you just die!!!!??"

Talking about jobs which make you want to cry, how's the whole "cat servant" thing panning out. Lap top still being used as puss' posterior warmer? Sacrificed more meals as you have failed in your duty to manage the weather more appropriately?
