It's Caturday- Post some cats (vol 3)
Discussion
Finishing off a cycle ride last night, I had the misfortune to witness the traumatic demise of someone's cat. Run over on the road outside the owner's house, she was understandably distraught.
Three cars had stopped. No idea whether any of them was the one that hit the cat. A police car also turned up just seconds before I got there, but I think they were 'just passing' rather than summoned. Somebody was lifting the cat off the road, and it looked very much deceased to me...
Sad.

His Lordship on his new throne.
Gone is the beautiful bedside lamp, phone and charger, a small ornamental pill box, loose change and other sundry items thrown to the floor at 6am every morning. It is now a throne for preening and leaping 6' on to feet and slumbering body from, a throne upon which I may admire myself and tap your head in the early hours to wake you from your much needed sleep. This is my throne!

Thanks both He's settled in very well indeed - he was sat on Mrs Hammerhead's lap within 20 mins of arriving so seemingly very happy to be here. Follows us around, goes bonkers with his catnip toys then sleeps. And sleeps.
Not noted any musical ability yet but with a full name of David Meowie (yes really!), I'm expecting much!

Went back to the Shelter yesterday and have reserved a 10 year old female tabby whose owner had passed away. Hoping lightning will strike twice but she was very friendly, coming straight over for some attention as soon as the cage door was opened instead of trying to run round and check every corner of the room.
They did also have a lovely cat there with the quite brilliant name of Steve. Sadly he had a heart condition and I'm not experienced or confident enough to take something like that on

Best cat name ever Calling him in for his supper reminds me inevitably of the BBC Wildlife promo film. Specifically the gopher dude (you'd need to watch to the end) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaPepCVepCgGassing Station | All Creatures Great & Small | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
