Wish it was the same over here. Heavy frost last night. Result - wake up around 2:00 a.m. to find both ours under the covers, one snuggled in either side of me. Daren't move for the remainder of the night for fear of rolling on one of them. No point in turfing them out as thy sneak back as soon as you nod off. Spoilt little sods.
The kittens, two especially more so, have taken to sleeping on the bed. It makes paralysis inevitable as you darent turn because they're still so tiny you wouldn't feel if you rolled on one! A few sleepless nights, along with the 3am attacks, has seen them being put to bed in their cage. Now I just have to deal with those little pleading eyes and tiny cries around 5am. Little bundles of joy that they are.

The last sleep.

The past nine weeks has been a joy. Watching these kittens, from the moment they were born, opened their eyes, took their first unsteady steps, ate their first foods, to chasing each other manically over and under the bed attacking my feet in the process and dragging my shoes in to unknown places, growing in to their individual personalities, quiet and chilled, a bold explorer and prospepective hunter, an inquisitive loving purr princess and a great, loving, all rounder. These four will spend their last night together tonight as tomorrow and over the coming few days they each head off on their new adventures.

Three out of four are going to homes where I'll see them grow and have regular updates. So hopefully this won't be the last you'll see of them. (Unfortunately for some - I'm sure I've lost friends over this! :hehe).

Very cute.

I can't help but be amused by the 3 white ones being neatly lined up and the tabby is curled up!

We have the opposite problem at the moment - cats (kittens) arrived and older cat sulking outside, so trying to get them to be in the same room without hissing at each other! It will come and last night our older cat spent the night in the bedroom being very loving (but slightly grumpy at not being able to go outside) so hoping for progress today and over the weekend.

A lady from Newmarket. I'm sad but at least she has a home now.

Well the 'Prosecco', formally the kitten known as Gary(ete) Laser Eyes went to her new home this afternoon. She's gone to an ex work colleague/friend locally. It was harder than I thought saying goodbye. Taking her from her family, her parents. I shed a few tears and the house seems quieter without her already. The remaining kittens a little more subdued than normal perhaps.

Last few hours were spent saying goodbyes to her family and having some playtime and cuddles with me before I took her to her new home where the family had a beautiful bed, some toys and lots of love ready for her. She will also have a nine year old female cat (who is very friendly with other cats and dogs) to cuddle up with.

One down three to go.

Lebowski knows something is up as he's graced me with his presence. He never sits on anyone's lap, with the exception of mine, very rarely.

I've had some lovely updates and amusing tales of mischief from the new kitten families. Prosecco being missing and found asleep covered in dust at the bottom of a vase! Biscuit sleeping on his owners pillow. Reigate being carried like a baby whilst purring. All from loving, attentive homes. All except the first born, Private Dancer. Who went to a stranger. Who within a few days had put her up for sale on Gumtree.
A rescue mission was launched. Many lies later 'PD' is home.

Mum was back loving her from the minute she saw her. After three days gone she's settled right back in. I think it was fate.

Stray cat believes 35C is too hot..

At some point, I should write a biography of this cat over the past two years..He's continually in the wars / disappears / needs affection.

He has a lot of character and never shows any aggression towards us..He now has a penchant for cheese!!

He is very vocal and is pretty good in the house..

She said because her daughter was allergic - she told me she had two sons. She said she'd saved my number to send me updates, when questioned why she hasn't contacted me to return the kitten she said she'd lost my number as she doesn't know how to use her iPhone, told me proudly she'd been offered £200 for her. There are many, many more discrepancies.
I wanted to see these babies live out their lives. The thought she was lost wrenched at my heart. I'm glad she's back home. She's not a commodity. She's part of my family.
