Not unusual - you don't know them when you name them.

Ella = Smelly
Lou = Poo
Macavity = too many to list, most of them related to him being a big fat ginger whinger.

My cat Tinks (tinkerbelle) gets called 'stinks', 'minks' and generally 'Oi, Cat!'

We 'adopted' next doors cat Pindles when she was pregnant, but my missus became so Allergic to her that although she eventually gave birth in our house, we had to give her kittens and her over to next door to raise them. Abit pissed off really since she became ill with a absess on her mammery gland and next door did nothing until we stepped in!

Anyway, OP, I think your doing a wonderful thing if your happy to take on this Stray 'Dave'! Well done, we need more owners like you!

just found out we lost one of our strays tonightfrown
was hit by a car as he crossed the road at 5.10 tonight, rip Blackie.

steve2, sorry to hear that. It's hard losing a furry friend. Stray or not, they all have their own wee personality and character. Hope you're ok.
