Cats are great!!!

That is a bloody beautiful picture! Is it a Maine Coon? It's got a very distinctive M on its head.

To the OP, well done, you're a very very nice man biggrin

Nice one. You did indeed do a good thing. You'll probably end up having a good mate in that cat, sooner or later - you'll come to an amiable understanding involving it keeping your feet warm in return for the occasional scritchies or something. thumbup

It wasn't feral though, a feral kitten is pretty much scared of people as soon as it can see and would have hissed and run rather than followed you.

Which means that at some point, it has had love from a human.

Which might possibly mean that someone's looking for it and missing it. frown

Or indeed that some utter ste has intentionally kicked a tiny kitten out in the cold. rage

Belt-and-braces check would be to pop on to mymoggy.com and report it found, just in case - that gives any former owners something of a chance although given that a kitten that size couldn't exactly get far, I'd kinda expect that you would have seen a poster or something by now if it's lost rather than dumped.

Becca you do know that Anya isn't UK based? wink

The cats round him will be 'feral' as in strays that are reproducing, living rough in places they sometimes get fed by humans, like the building site that was the only thing nearby.

Morning all. Defo a 'street cat'. There are lots and lots around here living in all sorts of nooks and crannies inc e.g. under the stones in the sea-wall. Much be a bit wet in a storm! Lots of kittens. Some people feed them so they are used to human contact. Apparently the local street cats (and dogs) when they are adopted as pets are the most friendly, good tempered, pets imaginable. This one is doing well and has doubled in size over the past couple of weeks! She likes playing with socks, tuna fish, and annoying our pet parrot.

Here is a pic (apols for the poor quality).

Good CV!

You see, there is some kind of agency that spots people/houses without cats, and sends them one smile
