I have a house bunny who also has a run in the garden which I put him in when it's nice out.

Next doors cat must have a beacon that tells him when the rabbit is out as he instantly apears, sat ontop of the run until I scare him off, he then hides ontop of the fence where the evil barsteward thinks I cant see him!

Poor Gareth (rabbit) hates going out in the run & wont eat if I put food in with him, if you walk outside he will scratch the side of the run trying to get your attention to get him out.

Can't imagine it would go well with them living together

I have some friends in Czech Rep (as it was) and they have cats and bunnies all running free... And fine together, even sitting together

Yeah but wild rabbits weigh a couple of a kilograms at best (most a good bit less). Most domestics (depends on breed obviously) will outweigh a small cat and things like Flemish giants weigh 8kg or more, and would batter any cat that tried it on.

I think all our domestic rabbits have been at least as heavy as any of our cats and they have very powerful kicks, nasty bites and are generally pretty hard when they need to be.

No cat is going to be catching this monster in a hurry! smile

My cat brought in a fully grown rabbit and I dread the return of Muntjac to the garden (they mysteriously disappeared). Personally I wouldn't risk it.

You think your cat killed the muntjac deer? Do you own a pet lynx?

I suspect it was coincidence.
