Puppy has eaten a whole pigs ear!

Our cocker is totally food motivated.
Dare not leave my thumb on the inside of the bowl as he will have that too.
Most of the time he has dry food in a Kong Wobble http://pet-positive.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/... to slow him down
Spaniels are great fun though

One of my sisters Labradors polished off best part of a 5kg bag of dog biscuits when she left it outside the back door by mistake one evening. The greedy little bugger was absolutely bloated and comatose, so she took him to the vet. Vet gave him something to make him puke, but he steadfastly refused to.
Couple of days later, he was back to normal, no adverse reactions to Pedigree biccy overload.

When our EBT was a pup and teething as already mentioned cold carrots were quite good. Also we got him nylabones I think they are called. When very small we got one with a bit of "give" to it and now he has the rock hard versions. If ever he wanted a knaw we just popped that in his mouth and he soon learnt that's what he is allowed to chomp on. Still takes himself off to his bed with one now or comes and drops it at my feet to get me to hold it up for him between my feet if he's feeling lazy! Basically though when chewing or teething just substitute whatever it is he shouldn't be chomping with something acceptable. If my dunce EBT can grasp what it right or wrong your spaniel can do it!!!
Sorry for the lack of photos!
This is Ziggy (13 weeks old and growing by the day!!)

The pigs ear seems to have had no bad effects. I've also discovered he loves the deer antler piece I bought him and he's been working on it for a week now - good value.
