I am absolutely disghusted at this i really am.
The judge ruled lennox as too 'unpredictable' to be released back to his family, even though he has never hurt a single soul.
14 days to appeal, but unless they get some amazing legal representation, its highly unlikely there is anything that can be done.

This doesn't work for me, for some reasonLENNOX: A supporter from Belfast who asked to remain anonymous (that should tell you how medieval things are there) pointed out this article, specifically the last paragraph, from the Ulster Society Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. See the link. ~John
USPCA began life as a Belfast Society formed by a group of concerned citizens to counter the abuse of animals, particularly working horses, commonplace on the city’s streets. Success followed with many abusers brought before the Courts and prosecuted. The Charity extended its work across the entire Province of Ulster and the name was changed to reflect this expansion

Last week in Belfast, the highest court in the land rejected the final appeal for a pet dog called Lennox to be saved. Only an appeal on a point of law in the next four weeks – or a pardon – can save him now.
If Lennox was a human, Amnesty International would have him as a poster boy. He was an adorable puppy, as you can see from the photos. His owner, Caroline Barnes, a former vet nurse, thought he was probably a mix of American bulldog, labrador and staffie – as a crossbreed, she didn't know how big he would grow. For his first five years, he was an adored family pet.
Then, one day in May 2010, he was placed on death row. He hasn't been seen by his owners since. He had done nothing wrong. Under Northern Ireland law, it is illegal to own a dog that looks like a pit bull and they can only be saved from execution if a judge rules they are "satisfied that the dog will not be a danger to the public". But this exemption is hardly ever used – to date, only one dog that I can find has survived being identified as a "pit bull type" in Northern Ireland.

Pics have been released of him with huge bald patches
Caesar Milan has offered to adopt him.
It's an absolute disgrace.
Also just heard some utter fkwit on the radio say staffies should be on the dangerous dogs list. Cretin.
