[Yes couldn't agree more meet Amber the big one a bit gypo but a lovely bh. she was found wondering the streets eventually took in by the Evesham and lurcher rescue people, I guess no good for poaching etc you can still see the odd fag burns on her just. She's a lovely girl and a good friend to Ruby.
I get the feeling the she cant believe her luck some times by the look on her face. My Mother and Father who live next door lost there rescued Alsatian through age so I was happy to help with some new company for the them who love her dearly.
I know for sure when I need a new four legged friend it will be a rescue animal.
Cheers
Pat.
Pat - Amber is beautiful. She reminds me a lot of Benson, my Saluki/Greyhound (sadly no longer with us).I get the feeling the she cant believe her luck some times by the look on her face. What a boy dead ringer for sure. really cuts me up knowing what short lives these guys have. I know one thing while mine are with me the best will always be on tap for them, not that they need a lot. A bit of love is all it takes. All the best

If it's blowing a gale, sideways rain and I don't want to go out, or if I went to head back early, I always think "Is that fair on Bruce?".
Generally isn't, so I punish myself for thinking it and treat him a bit better
Love him until the day he dies and then for a long time after, too,
Got up this morning and despite the warnings of snow the was no sign of any outside (hard frost though). Fortunately for Casper we found snow just 1/2 a mile up the road in the country park. Not a lot but kept him happy...
View towards Woodhead and Snake passes (both closed last night I think)...
Not quite fully awake or just squinting in the Sun?...
First rays of Sun...

Sorry for your loss especially this time of year. W hat was the problem?
She had some kind of anemia but it was caused by her own immune system attacking her. The vets tried treating it with some monster amounts of drugs but she didn't recover and although there were other options and treatments available they probably wouldn't have worked and would have only prolonged the inevitable. When we went to the vets to be with her she was really bad, bright yellow eyes and skin and so weak she was barely able to lift her head. Not the dog that was able to inhale a lunchbox from across the kitchen if you left it unattended.Thank you everyone for your kind words, it's been nice to read them and remember the good times.
