To those who seem to want to portray this as some kind of frothing at the mouth crusade against dogs and think that I've worked myself into a rage over this, you can relax - I haven't. I'd hoped that the language used in my OP was enough to indicate this (being short on expletives) but it seems you have to spell things out to some people. Or maybe they're vacuously trying to score some kind of perceived PH-points by mocking every post. Who knows. I certainly don't care.
Don't worry, it happens on here in most threads rolleyes

roflroflroflrofl

You cannot be real. Nobody uses language like this.
What's wrong with that? Do we mock people for using correct English, as well as txt spk now or something?

I thoroughly sympathise with the OP, and think the amount of stick he has got on this thread is ridiculous, it is a disgusting habit dogs have and their owners should not allow them to do so right outside others homes (as some responsible owners on here have agreed).

Stick a sign like this or similiar on the gatepost, whether you treat the pathway or not. There are ones with animals on too, but I can't be bothered to trawl. Owner will soon pull their dog away.

Feckin dog owners. I have regular problems with them pissing on my front lawn which causes bald patches. I'm afraid we've given up trying to stop them as we're moving house very soon.

I'd suggest a shotgun. Barrel one for the owner, barrel 2 for the dog laugh

Best to make sure and use both barrels on the owner - it's not the dog's fault. I can't understand why someone would let their dog 'go' on someone else's property.

Of course you could always suggest to the owner that they add a little tomato puree to their dogs food which will stop their pee causing bald patches ;-)

Given they're of the 'Walk my dog by opening the back door' type I suspect I would be wasting my breath.
You're right, not the dogs fault, however you'd get into less bother for offing the dog than the owner...

And then you've got the cat problem. My little furball has cats peeing on our garden , and al round the area. His remedy- cover the marks, his marks don't cause bald patches, but tell the cat that he's on the case. The cat's know, as even when he's in the car, and going mad, cats vanish, just in case he will/can get out. one of these days, he & my son's dog ( which he can't stand,as it's a Staff) will hunt a cat, and forget their differences - and the cat will become an ex cat. The Staff has one cat under it's belt- caught digging up the garden. Mine has almost ,at 11 years old, had cat's tail fur as a prize .

You think you've got problems!

A work colleage of mine has a dog that will eat horse crap given the chance but a new much worse situation has arisen. Someone has taken to have a crap outside on his normal dog walking route and the dog like to eat it. Apparently it's bad enough cleaning horse st off your dog but having to wash human st off it's face is a new level of nasty.

I'm so glad I don't own a dog...laugh
