Up to date picture of Henry now at 18 weeks. Still not 100% what he is. Not sure on him being a border / russell terrier cross, more of having a Paterdale look about him. He's a bit of a rascal and destroys plants, digs holes and generally puppy naughtiness. Still , he is making progress and runs free in the park early mornings with Rosie , our border and does come back on the call.

Hi all, thought you might like to meet our little bundle. His name is Zorin and he was 'issued' ito is in January at 8 weeks old (see pic on his first day with us). I say issued because he's a Guide Dog Puppy and will be with us for a year until he progresses to full Guide Dog training. We are one of about 1500 Puppy Walkers in the U.K. Who do this in order to keep the all too many blind or partially sighted people independent and able to go about life more easily. These amazing dogs not only enhance mobility for their Guide Dog Owners, they become their best and most trusted friends. It is such a demanding role that only 60% make it to graduation and final pairing. Those that don't get there become Buddy Dogs for blind children, search dogs or assistance dogs. Some even go into early retirement as family pets but they are all amazing and have so much to give wherever they go.

Didn't Zorin 'guide' someone out of an airship at 5000 ft in A View to a Kill?

Agree that guide/assistance dogs do an amazing job.

I can't decide if that's pretty much the most content face I've ever seen or pretty much the most smug face I've ever seen!

Not sure if I've mentioned before, but Misty is very timid when it comes to people. When we first got her, it was nearly impossible to walk her in a public area (she'd panic even walking through town when deserted) or take her in a room with people she didn't know.

We decided that she was young enough not to give in to it, so built her up with quite villages and pubs (good excuse).

She's still pretty cautious, but you don't need to worry about her now. She just finds a dark corner to hide in... unless there's a chance of crisps, then a head emerges.
