Big grin on my face as well, after reading this. So chuffed for you.

I'd suggest keeping him shut in for at least a week to get him settled back. If only he could tell us what he's been up to!

Brilliant news!

Little bugger though, wonder where he has been? This is where you need cat-cam! biggrin

Our cat went missing for two years. Eventually found 200 miles away and re-united. Lived another few years until it was about 17.

Fantastic news MrM! I know exactly how you're feeling - my moggy disappeared for about 3 months once, we'd given him up for lost, but one day he just comes sauntering up the garden path as if nothing had happened! It's just a shame you never get to find out what adventures they've been up to!

Totally made up for you! thumbup

I'm writing this with the biggest grin on my face, after a little over two months I awoke this morning to a familiar meow. Yep, he has returned!

After scoffing down some food he's now collapsed in a heap on my bed fast asleep. Shall post pics up later today. It's like the little st has never been away! He's still the cuddly cat he always was. I could not be happier. Thank you for the messages and stories. Il admit I gave up hope but it just goes to show that you shouldn't. I now plan on making a fuss of him all day. biggrin

Excellent news!

Ours disappeared for two weeks, then we came downstairs one morning and he was asleep in his bed in front of the Aga. Seemed completely non-phased by it all and just gave us that "what?" look that cats have perfected. Cats seem to like going on their holidays every now and again, but omit to tell their servants of their vacation plans.

Glad to hear you had a good result.
My cat dispappeared for several days a couple of years ago.
Jumped into a courier van that was delivering to my neighbour.
Fortunately we found out that the courier had a drop not far from us afterwards, and after a good search we found our missing kitty!
Scared her but she but still goes into strange vans given half the chance! Curiosity etc...
