I'm afraid that the current news is that the pooch is no longer frequenting the garden where she was being fed and spotted daily, hasn't been seen for about a week now.

If I hear any different I will let you guys know.

Ok,

Something of a miracle has happened. The dog was seen mooching around a garden, the owner went over, mutt was there, and let her take the collar.

So dog is now actually back with her owner and settling in nicely.

Thanks ever so much to everyone !

So the dog was 'lost' for nearly exactly one year?

Yes, I think it was about 2-3 weeks one way or the other. Quite incredible really.

As to her health, she's bit thin but the vet gave her a clean bill of health. I guess the local rabbit/deer population may have taken a hit, plus my friend was regularly leaving food down for her in the area she kept being sighted.

My friend was also told that the local farmer used to track her with his shotgun (she would be strolling through the fields of sheep) but he never fired as she never gave any indication of attacking them.

bounce

Funny, I looked for this thread a week or so ago to see if I'd missed the outcome, but didn't bump it to find put as I (wrongly) guessed the outcome.

Wow, the owners must be overjoyed smile
