Apparently one of the neighbours (house opposite) was walking her Jack Russell. She met one of the other dog walkers on the field and got onto the subject of the fireworks and how the dogs were with them. The woman from up the road has a Doberman and she said "He's absolutely terrified of the fireworks...them and that aggressive cat that lives across the road from you!".
Apparently she was walking past the house and the cat was on the drive. The dog saw it and went to go for him but she kept hold on the lead type. The cat then ran at it and scratched it on the nose! Since then, the dog always wants to dash past out house when it sees Tommy sat on top of the bin surveying his patch.
I have to say, I'm a little offended by her referring to Tommy as 'that aggressive cat'. I mean, look at him! Does anybody think he looks the slightest bit aggressive?

Our Molls is looking a little thin but still eating like a horse.
We were at the vet last week for a much need claw clip and hes suggestting possible thyroid problems.
She's getting on a bit around 10-12 years we think and if confirmed our options are pills daily or an operation.
Anyone any experience with this?
Take it the basics like worming has been sorted?
My mum's cat Charlie passed yesterday. He was 16, still mousing till his last. Came in for some food yesterday, went outside and about an hour later my mum got a knock on the door from a neighbour saying he was acting strangely.
My mum found him sat in the middle of the car park yowling, totally spaced out with both his pupils blown out wide. Took him to the vets and he'd had a stroke so they let him go.![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)
Still, he was fit and happy right till the end. RIP Charlie.

Lola looks familiar geeks. You didn't used to live near Beaconsfield did you?
No sorry, we got her from Houghton Regis, her dad is a Bengal and her mum is part Bengal and part something else! She has taken after both, has her dads massive eyes and her mums lack of size, some stripes in her that are well blended with her coat so they are hard to see but the vet identified them as Bengal markings! She has a real attitude, and is fantastic fun and very affectionate to me and only me which upsets the wife a great deal as technically its her cat
