Picked up these two last night from a friend of a friend of a friend who rescued them from their owner who didn't want anything to do with the litter of kittens and essentially ignored them.

Currently named Snuzzles and Ems by the "rescuer's" daughter but that may change after a visit to the vet to see if they actually are two girls as we're not so convinced.

Double trouble! They look like they have potential to be very mischievous

I'm a little apprehensive about going home at lunchtime and what I might find. We have them shut in the front room at the moment and last night they'd managed to turn on the Blu-ray player and open the drawer.

I'm quite expecting the TV, sound bar and Humax to have been 're-wired' when I get home laugh

They will get the run of the house but one step at a time.

We're considering something similar to those shelves, as one of ours favourite spot is sunbathing on the shelf around the lantern in our house!

We lost our one eyed Greek girl a few weeks ago (she had Cancer, and it was the right time to PTS) so have adopted a new boy from Cats Protection. Meet Alfie, he was Jerome, but we thought that made him sound like a pornstar!

He's an ex-stray, has a missing tooth or teeth, and is on a Renal diet for life due to Kidney Disease. Not the prettiest boy. He makes up for it in charm though, he is the sweetest character ever!
It was this along with the fact that I thought he'd not be quick to be re-homed that steered us to choose him.

Settling in nicely, and daily is getting braver exploring, and tolerating the three dogs!

love He is so smiley. And rightly so. I hope he brings you all the goodness you two deserve.

Congratulations Alfie. Have the best life.
Thank you chick. He's settling in really well now, venturing all around the house. He went all Edward Scissorhands on Wilson the Dobe x Viz the other day, so he's also got the message to not mess! S has fallen head over heels in love with him, as have I.

RE the two Tabby kittens posted, they look very sweet, but they'll probably be naughtier than Dennis The Menace! As for the hateful woman who abandoned them, I hope she gets AIDS mad

I know that all too well. At least for the moment the kittens are lighter than the ginger lump that preceded them!

Here’s Gilbert.

I’ve not had a cat before thinking I’m more of a dog person, but he’s won me over and rules the roost over my Jack Russell and English Bull Terrier!

Bugger.
Buggerbuggerbugger.
Unusual behaviour explained; Coco will no longer be seeking retreat in the grey plastic tray in the airing cupboard.

Please give yours an extra squidge this evening.

That seems very sudden.

Considering that last night he beamed himself up to the Andromeda galaxy, his landing co-ordinates weren't far out...

Unfortunately the little buggers are very good at hiding how ill they are.

frown So sorry for Coco.

This thread is such a rollercoaster sometimes, so happy to see newcomers like Alfie and so sad when one is lost too. That's life with cats I guess, Maisie will be getting an extra cuddle tonight.
