Anyone fancy offering up a name for our new little girl? She is about 1 and doesn't have a name that they know of

In my youth my mum used to rescue cats from the mill she worked at oop north.

Yes I am old...

One we called Gemma

Looked like her, very clever.

A proper moggy.

A cat's name does not matter though, they are will of the wisps.

A name is more about you then them.

That reads rather like Mehitabel in 'Archie & Mehitabel'!

Perhaps Old Possum should be consulted.

Thanks Gary. Still testing + and now middle son and his girlfriend, youngest not feeling great… cat food running low. It’s serious times.

Talking of serious this is Walter. He doesn’t feature much because he’s grumpy/moody/miserable and prefers to spend his time with my youngest. He’s being very attentive this week, sleeping on my bed/sofa and I think even managed a smile today after a chin rub! This is a miracle.

This just happened…

Sat on my terrace, having a cold beer as the sun goes down, and I can hear my little girl yowing. Initial thought is she’s caught a bird or a rodent. But this continues at a similar volume and I can’t quite place where it’s coming from. Get up to check if she’s in next doors garden and catch sight of her out of the corner of my eye… on next doors 1st floor Juliette balcony….

She’s contemplating a near 3m jump, but isn’t brave enough and is getting more distressed. Eventually manage to coax her back across 3 blocks until she finds a way down.

She wasn’t at the front of the queue for brains.

Now sat on the terrace watching the swallows zooming around catching flys.… and looking at me as though nothing happened…

The other idiot has turned up now... he’s got about as much chance of catching a swallow as a dead elephant.

He’s got zero chance of dragging his fat ass up there.

It’s always a surprise to see him awake… he’s the master of converting oxygen and huge quantities of food in to sleep.

Evidence presented… he’s a lover, not a fighter or hunter
