Chester is 5 months old now, lovely dog but I prefer big dogs that like long walks.

We originally just had the male Bordeaux and then rescued an adult female. They were fine together loved mooching about together. Shortly after getting Lola we got ralf the French bull dog. She was fantastic with him as well.

Last year we got nana the British bull dog. She took quite a bit of work to integrate. She was true to bull dog type and wanted to take over. But with a bit of work shes now integrated well. Things though were quickly de-stabilised when we lost Lola earlier this year and the bulldogs would fight each other. Touch wood I think I've sorted that now.

Lola was fantastic and such a wonderful dog. She had a horrific life on a puppy farm in wales. Her legs wired up and tethered while they constantly bred her, she had the scars around her ankles from the wire. Her teeth were worn down where she had tried to bite her self off the wire. When I took her from the rescue she was 24 kg. once I'd got her back to health she was 45k.

Sadly I only had the privilege of her company for just under two years. When I got her she was 4 so she wasn't very old.

I miss her everyday.

But what this all shows is you can take some of the most poorly treated dogs out there and bring them back round to have a decent life. So I'm sure you'll be fine bringing a puppy in.

It also demonstrates what greedy scum bags there are out there and what they will do to an animal for money.

We're almost ready to have 4 dogs again. It'll either be a female dogue or south African boerbel.
Sounds like you gave her a good life. They look like great dogs in that pic.

Ours are integrating well together. The puppy thinks he's boss and our older dog thinks she's mum. There's been no problems between the two of them yet.

I got a bit worried that Casper was in danger of accidentally getting a stick stuck in his throat today...

Of course it got a bit smaller after a bit of chewing and throwing about...

Sorry about the poor phone pictures.

Well he is very flexible just like Darcey.

Here he is pretending to be a draught excluder. Nose at the top, chin against the door.

Wally, when I got him last November. He is part mongrel, part hobo, and part idiot. He was found in a bush by the river by a friend of mine over here, and I took him in.

Under the car with Whitey, his best buddy.

He looks like he has a bit of Patterdale in him. Our family dog has similar markings and is of a similar size. Looks like a beautiful dog.

That picture does look very patterdale esque, but the adult dog doesn't resemble one at all!

Our Patterdale/JRT for reference...
