It's Caturday- Post some cats (vol 3)
Discussion
Next doors bloody cat using our doorstep as a toilet at 02:47 and waking us up with the security system sending an alert that an intruder is at the back door.
Not a happy neighbour, their suggestion is to switch of the warning device, how selfish is that? I have to switch off the security system which protects us, the house and the cars so the dam cat can use my doorstep as a toilet

My neighbour has a similar system, but cats regularly patrol round his house so I presume he can adjust the settings. Not a happy neighbour, their suggestion is to switch of the warning device, how selfish is that? If you expect every cat within half a mile locked up at night just so they don't wake you up via your security system, that might be deemed a bit selfish too.

Just as selfish as the cat owners who let their cat out at night to soil their neighbours property so they don’t have to clean it up. There is no exit to the rear of the property the garage blocks it off so they do not have another reason to enter. If you expect every cat within half a mile locked up at night just so they don't wake you up via your security system, that might be deemed a bit selfish too.

I am a sucker for a wet nose and a wagging tail, but could not pick up after them nor could I let them soil on the pavement like some selfish dog owners, so therefore I cannot have a dog.
The security system is to protect us, the house and the cars from theft I do not think it is unreasonable to deter cats from entering my property
