So the other half offered to foster these two little rascals for a weekend. They'd previously been dumped in a park tied inside bag for life.

As it happened we had them for a couple of weeks until we went on a holiday. Having handed them back to the rescue we decided we missed them and offered to adopt them.

Yesterday they returned to their new home and have settled in nicely. They're very loving and totally inseparable. We'd bought a cheap scratching post while we fostered them but it seems they like it and are happy to share it.

We're told they're about 7 months old as they where kittens when abandoned.
It's a good job I've a substantial lap as they like to be together.
My wife is cooing over those two

We are fosterers as well, keep up the good work

Those are beauties.

How old are they in that photo.

We have fostered both cats and dogs.

It is so rewarding

This is the only picture we have of Lila looking happy - she’s quite a complex personality.

In 12 years of having her from a kitten this was only the third time she’s come to sit on my lap. She normally hates being touched by anyone but on this occasion she demanded a face and chin rub. I managed to grab a photo to share with the rest of the family as otherwise they would never have believed it.

Well done to the CPL and fosterers here; we’d like to foster but we know we’d never be able to give them up.

Welcome Bazsm!

Loving the stories about Lila, Alfie and Romeo.

Our Maisie enjoys a bit of attention but on her own terms. I sometimes wish she was more of a lap cat but it somehow means more on the rare occaisions when she does cuddle up.

Yes. We’d struggle to give them up if we fostered. Well done.

I do love a foster fail.

With regard to giving them back I learned from Hannah Shaw (The Kitten Lady) that you’re making space to save another life. I have to keep telling myself that or I’d never have room… (there’s always room). Except on this chaise

Lebowski and Seth are becoming good friends. Have been cleaning each other and playing together. Walter, Bader even Frida and Gwyneira have taken Seth in their stride and are still sleeping on my bed with him. Bruce (my big tuxedo fluff ball) however is not so smitten and has kept a low profile.

Thanks for all the positive comments folks, my other half has been pestering to get a catnfor years now and I've said just get one. She's been reluctant as I'm allergic (not massively) so the fostering option let us see how we'd get on. I've had cats before with an ex a male and female from different litters and they never really got on more tolerated each other. When these 2 are so much a pair, playing, sleeping, chilling together... I'd always fancied a taby but these are just so loving. We're greater every morning with 2 cheeky faces.

We don't really know for sure the rescue lady thinks in the region of 7 months.

This is the rescue in Chorlton, Manchester, PawPurrs Halfway House if anyone is looking to Foster or Adopt or feeling generous to donate like most charities they're struggling with vets bills etc.

Our existing cat, Lulu, appeared to be getting so bored she turned herself into a portal to another dimension:

More seriously, she seems too jittery to let outside just yet, getting spooked by loud noises, so we thought we'd get her some company. As she's still young and not that sure if herself we thought a kitten might be better, so this morning we went to look at and eventually pick up Pinto.

As a petrolhead Pinto didn't sit that well with me, with visions of exploding fuel tanks and lawsuits, so thanks to a Freudian Autocorrect from the wife, he's been rechristened Pinot.

He's 8 weeks old, tiny but already massively friendly.

Clearly a staged photo.

If it was real the cat would be sitting on the keyboard behind him hehe

Staying at my eldest’s whilst they’re away filming in Columbia, their partner is also away this week so I’m charged with housesitting Daddy the Chihuahua and Princess, the kitten now cat they adopted through me earlier this year.
Anyone that’s familiar with Jack will know how extravagant/flamboyant and gay they are. Jack’s partner sent me this message. Hope it makes at least one person chuckle like it did me

In the meantime Princess is far from enamoured with my new puppy Seth who has also come to stay. She’s keeping a very low profile frown

Nice one for fostering, black and white cats are my favourite.

Here's Tommy looking a bit fat.
