If you can try and keep them in at night, especially if you live in a urban area. The majority of cat RTAs occur in the dark - drivers don't see them and cats are less good at judging a pair of head lights than when they can see the whole car.

Several nervous hours this evening.

I let Bob out for the first time and he simply took off. Nowhere to be seen.

A tad worrying since previously he was used to a postage stamp suburban garden, but now has 9 acres of semi-rural land to roam.

He could be anywhere in that lot - perhaps spooked by something, lost, and unable to find his way back? cry

However I needn't have worried. Bob sauntered in for his tea with a friendly chirrup, and is now washed and sleeping on my bed.

I think we're home and dry. cloud9
