So lovely day, went out for a walk. Whilst on a public footpath through some fields I turned a corner to find the herd of cows that occupy that field had moved to that part of the field.

There's a sort of ditch/gully with a raised bit being the only way through to the other side and the exit on that side of the field, and at that point two rather large cows had decided the grass there was the tastiest.

Frankly I didn't fancy my chances and rather than find that cows are actually nasty bds I decided to walk across to the other exit.

There were no calves, I was on my own no dogs or other aggravating factors - what's the general advice for this sort of thing?

I always remember that "Silenced by the Lambs" headline that got ran when the woman got knocked over a cliff when she was out feeding sheep - I don't want that to be me smile

Cows are the friendliest/shyest/nosiest animals you will meet! (With the noted exceptions)
You may well be right, I just didn't fancy paying a tenner a night for hospital internet having found out the hard way.
