Rabbits and cats

Evening people. I live in an apartment at the moment with the other half. We own a rabbit and she's a year old last week. Anyways next month we will be moving back to my parents house to save for our first house together. They own a cat who is very placid. My question is do we introduce them together or do we keep them completely separate, I'm worried the rabbit may spook the cat and the cat will never return, has anyone done this before and what advice would you give?
