My 17.5-year-old dog developed arthritis around November. In addition to receiving Librella once a month, I have been prescribed Lexicom and Tramadol, which provide inconsistent relief. Recently, someone recommended a natural sleeping aid. As a result, I have stopped giving my dog all medications except for Librella. If she experiences pain at night, which happens about twice a week, I give her this natural remedy that I believe is effective and made from natural ingredients. It works wonderfully for her, and its on Amazon.

Thank you for another option to consider and read up about, as you you know it’s trying to manage the pain and yesterday I met someone with a 20 year old who we swapped notes.

It seems that the 4 weekly jab of librella is the basic lifesaver for arthritis.

We discussed the options of instant pain relief being
Loxicom
Metacom
Tramadol
and even a tiny dose of paracetamol if in a emergency situation but the medication really is for discussion with a vet.

They were not aware of the dog melatonin which I think as more of a night time stress reliever/sleeper.
