I was going to put this in the travel section but thought it would get better viewing here.

I am off to Ibiza on Saturday for a week with a large group. We have a few bits an pieces booked up but I wondered if anyone knows of any parties/nights that are a must attend when on the white isle?

The season has ended so everyone has left.

You will have to make your own fun with your "group" of "friends".

Maybe I should have just stuck it in the Travel section.

Not a wind up, I personally have never been to Ibiza. I thought I would ask the wealth of knowledge that lives on here to see if there is anything that we may have missed.

I knew about Ibiza Rocks closing but it didn't seem to go down to well with the rest of the group.

Cream closing sounds interesting.

I think he was referring to me, and yes it was!

I find the best thing to do is just go and see what happens. Planning is for losers!

To be honest, that is what I was planning on doing. I think we are going to Space on Sunday night otherwise it is pretty much an open book.

What music you after, im there the same week, trust me everything will still be in full swing.

if you've never been before then ASOT on Monday at privilege is a good bet, biggest club in the world and such an experience!

Cream closing will be amazing, but so so packed so be prepared for that.

If you want to try Ushuia then the ANTS party on Saturday is popular at the moment, and iirc if you sign up to there website you get in for free!

There is also the Ushuia tower to check out as thats free.

"We love" on Sunday as you've said is also an amazing night.

Dc10 is massively popular on Mondays if your into your underground techno / house, again a really messy club though so be prepared for some utterly wrecked people.

Try to kit Sankeys one night, small club but amazing place, a real messy type club though so if this isn't you i would avoid.

Hit the sunset strip at some point, go a bit further round though and eat at the golden Buddha, cheap and amazing food with a brilliant view.

Yes, he is. Remember that his albums need to appeal to the masses in order to sell big numbers, whilst Ibiza dwellers tend to be more "accomplished" house music lovers and therefore expect to hear less mainstream stuff.
He delivers, and he is also usually supported by good up-and-coming DJs.
Pacha can get really busy when he plays though, so it's one of the few parties were I would recommend getting a table (funds permitting obviously).

Have a look at http://ibiza2013.net/calendar - all of the events listed on there, a fair few closing parties coming up too which are always good!

And Pacha attracts quite a miserable crowd. I was there for a Pete Tong night and it just didn't compare to the other clubs - although getting a table there as mentioned above could be a good shout.

Depends on the music tastes of the group really. But check out the line ups at Amnesia - by far the best club imo but they do tend to over sell the tickets. We love Space on Sundays is excellent.

Sankeys is a very funky little club too - well worth a visit.

So you're planning on not planning anything.

That's not going to work. You'll just end up planning something "Just in case".

Trouble is now you've saud you're not going to plan anything it's messed everything up. smile

By the way, don't pre buy tickets.
Just spend an afternoon at the Salinas beach, in front of the Jockey Club, and you will be offered lots of cheap tickets or even free guest lists at most of the large clubs.

The "looky-looky" guys selling CDs have special wares/treats should one desire. So I am told.

I've heard allegedly that the workers are the best place to purchase such treats
