I have a new one to add for those on long haul flights who can never get comfy/sleep, a J Pillow!! mine arrived in the post yesterday from amazon and omg its comfy!! always found those travel pillows useless whether it be memory foam, beaded or inflatable, as soon as I put this one I felt relaxed and ready to kip! looking forward to the flight next week now!

My J pillow also arrived yesterday from Amazon and I'm flying next week on a longhaul flight hopefully it's good. Asterix said:
Does the J-Pillow collapse down, so to speak, or is it a proper pillow?
Proper pillow, a useful addition is a button loop on it so you can attatch it to your suit case when your going through the airport etc, its is bulky compared to say the inflatable ones but long haul flights suitcase space isnt usually an issueRib said:

Have to say it appears well built and well finished, comes with built in torch and good display.

just had mine delivered, good service but in regards of the suitcases initial impressions are very good, nice strong zips, much lighter than I thought, really smooth wheels and handle, little smaller than I thought but also quite deep so probably just deceptivequite a highly rated value suitcase pair cheap at the moment
Off to Vietnam and Cambodia in February then Costa Rica in May. Asia trip will be back packing and staying in Hostels/trains/boats. Ive added a few things to my amazon basket and this is what Ive added so far.
J pillow. !3 hour flight to Bangkok and various trains joineries so this may get well used.
Travel adapter as recommended on the first page.
Micro fibre towel. Anyone have any recommendations on the best one?
Wallet ninja, just look rather handy to have with me.
The rest of the things are going to be a mix of medical supplies, A few zip lock bags, These always have been invaluable. not worried about a power bank as I should always be able to change things somewhere.

Dave - the power sockets on trains in Vietnam are DC rather than AC - make sure your power supply is suitable (otherwise, a power bank would be a good idea!). I had a DC/AC power supply and it still got extremely hot on the plug - too hot to hold at one point (found out to my fingers detriment when unplugging!)
One thing I forgot to mention, is I always carry 2 wallets. One is hidden away, usually as close to my body as I can get it (or in an inside jacket pocket), the second usually had a few expired cards in it (with a few small holes drilled through the chip & cvc number removed),a few no longer valid currency notes (lira, Franc etc) kept in a prominent pocket.

Thought these were a good idea but didn't want to carry a pillow around with me, just realised that they do an inflatable one too.Does anybody know how small a normal one folds down to ? As it might be more comfy ?

What I do is buy travel insurance.Plus what if a robber is like 'this is a fake wallet, now im going to stab you'. You need to have a second fake wallet with like a fiver in it to give him next.
So 3 wallets actually is better
