Travel destinations for the un-vaccinated

So is 2 jabs vaccinated then? Never received the booster and it's over 9 months since the last jab
Same as me. So according to the NL site you are unvaccinated. France and Spain allow entry for the unvaccinated with a test (that you can do at home incorrectly) but NL technically don’t. But it appears from comments above they don’t check.
It’s a mess.
The USA is about to ditch testing for incoming travellers.

Has Sweden been suggested yet?
I went to Gothenburg for work a couple of weeks ago and flew via Copenhagen. No mention or checks of anything Covid related, so exactly as what I'd found from checking before going. I thought it was a really nice city and would make a good place to visit if you wanted a short city break.

Just reading that Germany is back on the list of ‘no vaccinations required’ after a week or so of confusion. Will have a dig and try to confirm a bit later.

Germany rejoins this list after a very confusing 2 weeks. In late May, Germany announced as of June 1 they will be dropping all entry requirements. However, come June 1, they actually made the rules slightly harder to enter by removing the option for third-party travelers to bring a negative test, and only allowing proof of vaccination (which includes a booster). Now, as of June 11, they have once again stated they are removing all entry requirements, and they have actually gone ahead and done so at this time.
Yep, looks legit…
“Lifting of COVID-19-related restrictions for entry into Germany with effect as of Saturday, 11 June 2022, 12pm/0.00h CET
From Saturday, 11 June 2022, 12pm/0.00h CET, all COVID-19-related restrictions on entry into Germany will provisionally be lifted. From that date, travel from the United Kingdom to Germany will be permitted for all purposes (including tourism and visits). For entry into Germany proof of vaccination, recovery or testing is no longer required.
Further details can be found on the Federal Foreign Office website.”

Still doesn’t look possible to go to the Netherlands without a booster
Very disappointed in our Dutch friends - they still regard England as an 'unsafe' country. On the other hand (although I suspect its also mentioned in this thread) Austria have removed all Covid controls and gone back to 2019.

The Dutch also accept recovery from a positive test as equivalent to a booster.
They do indeed - and I entered NL a couple of months ago using an NHS recovery pass. But my pass is due to expire after six months (June 27) so I will not be able to return to NL after that date until they change their rules and decide UK is no longer 'unsafe'!Edited by Mark V GTD on Thursday 9th June 18:25
No issues at all.
Stopping in a static in Flamborough for 4 nights week after next, mainly just to get some kind of holiday after not going anywhere for 2 years
Got some building work starting in a month and planning on getting away to somewhere warm in september/october
I think the reason i'm posting is becouse i'm so glad things are going back to normal, as if covid never even existed. It just seems that the last 2 years have been wasted, i'm sure someone will be along to remind me how many people died during the 'pandemic' and how the vaccines saved millions of lives
Looking forward to looking back at things like Austria mandating the injection WTF, Macron making life difficult for the un-vaxxed, Biden/Ardern/Morrison closing their countries down to visitors, truckers in Canada, Sweden getting slated, health 'experts' getting their mistresses round/shooting off to 2nd homes, health MP's getting caught getting off with the staff, driving to Durham to test you're eye sight, Billions of £ spent/written off on useless PPE, NHS tic tock videos, banging pans on our doorsteps FFS etc etc
What a period of history

Note that Ardern hasn’t removed all the restrictions to enter NZ yet. Visitors must be vaxed, must get a negative RAT test the day before they fly, must fill in a lengthy online questionnaire, and take RAT tests from the airport on arrival and post the results online…
Meanwhile the economy is tanking because overseas tourists aren’t coming, and much-needed skilled migrant workers clearly can’t be bothered jumping through the hoops either…

I have seen that South Africa has rescinded their rules on masks, gatherings and entry into the country.
That means no tests (had been a test if unvaccinated) and no masks on planes.
Just hope that it remains that way until September when we are due to go……actually until August when the balance is due.

Be interesting to see if (of course they won't!) varying countries recognise that the current vaccines we all have do next to sod all about the current two variants that are circulating. They are insisting on outdated vaccinations essentially.
Only yesterday I read on BBC news that the initial two AZ courses are by now 0% effective, and the booster 10% at best.
Me and the Mrs caught it last weekend and are still fairly Ill (nothing to get alarmed about!). Both jabbed, me boosted, her not. Me AZ with Bio booster, her Bio only. One sweaty coughy day, then two to three achey coughy days with sneezing, now sore throat sneezy, heavy legs, long sleeps and taste gone. Doesn't feel much like the vaccine has done much, bearing in mind we are showing the same symptoms as unvaccinated with these two variants (breathing issues seem to have been left behind post Omicron).
What I'm saying is they are using an outdated vaccination model, but I bet it won't change for some time....

Exactly - one could maybe understand a policy of no tests for vaccinated people but a test for unvaccinated if it could be shown that vaccinated people could not get or pass on the virus!Only yesterday I read on BBC news that the initial two AZ courses are by now 0% effective, and the booster 10% at best.

As it stands, in Spain it is more likely that a vaccinated person will bring in covid than an unvaccinated person who has a negative test (providing they have done the test correctly in the first place, and that the LFT is accurate!)
This one is quite a biggie IMO - Australia is dropping entry restrictions and requirements from Wednesday (6th July).

Agree - just need USA and Canada to do the same now and the world is practically open.https://minister.homeaffairs.gov.au/ClareONeil/Pag...
That said, I am not inclined to go to Aus or Canada based on how they have been with their own citizens- I am sure they have criticized China and N Korea for their abuse of human rights………
