These “supervised” tests are so pointless. If you really want to fudge your result you can.

Typically done with someone in Malaysia with a dodgy wifi connection.
Klarity done by someone in the U.K. who sends your certificate as soon as the control line appears. I just flashed the completed test at the screen, it could have been any ones. Satisfies the silly requirements though so hey ho

I’m visiting from the States and flying back Thursday, what’s the best option for testing and getting proof on Wednesday folks?

Any walk-through testing site would be my recommendation - ive previously used ExpressTest/Cignpost with little hassle and there are lots of sites and discount codes for them online (like on BAs "what do I need to travel" pages)

We're off to NYC with Virgin in 3 weeks, has anyone used the £9.99 Klarity certificate & had a problem with checking in for travel to the US because it isn't supervised? Is it the case that the airline checks your test cert at check in & if its accepted you are good, i.e. you're not going to run into an issue at US Customs if the airline has let you travel?
To follow up, we’re currently sat in departures at T3 having done the £9.99 Klarity certificate only service. No issues at all, they checked ESTA’s vaccine status & the date & result of the LFT on the certificate. As long at it was negative & dated yesterday they were happy. We are relaxed now!!

We are flying to New York in August, 2 adults with 2 jabs but no boosters, both had covid. 3 kids, all unvaccinated, eldest will be 17. I'm absolutely dreading it as we are going via Lisbon for 3 nights on the way which complicates things further. I was hoping all the covid stuff would be gone by August but am now getting worried it will still be lingering around. It's just so stressful.

Bit of a bone question, but I'm flying to Tampa in September and I remember previously seeing online you needed to fill in a CDC attestation form before flying or something along those lines, is that still the case or was it not needed at all if you're already vaxx'ed + tested?

You do at the moment but it can be done via VeriFLY with the tap of a finger.

Ah brilliant, thank you. I was seeing the long pdf form online and was getting confused on if I had to print and sign that whole thing.

Assuming his airline uses VeriFLY, not many do (specifically only these do: American Airlines, British Airways, Viking Cruises, Iberia Airlines, Aer Lingus, Japan Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, the Malta Tourism Authority).

If they're not on that list, you will need to sign a copy of this - I flew JetBlue again a couple of weeks back and had to have a paper copy sadly.

He said he was flying to Tampa so I kinda guessed that he was flying BA but yeah the paper form is easily found online should it be required. With any luck it’ll all be dropped soon.

So a small update as I talked about my trip on this thread a few weeks ago.

Flew into Dallas and back from LAX.

Did my pre-test with DocHQ; supervised via camera LFT and then email certificate immediately after. Inputted into Verifly which meant i went down the fast queue at LHR - and they actively made sure Verifly got priority to check-in counters. Even in CW.

Flew CW both ways; mask policy in place but not policed at all. Masks at LHR may as well be optional as only 50% of people wear them.

At US immigration in Dallas its mandatory and enforced. Same at LAX although at the OneWorld Lounge in LAX then there is a few signs but its not policed so you can take off.

I also few the new BA CW cabin on the way back. So much better than the old style - basically a smaller version of their F product.

Also no real restrictions whilst in the US other than Government properties - had to show vaccine pass at the Lakers game last Sunday and that was it.

Happy to answer any more questions having just come back from 19 days out there.

As you say VeriFLY is definitely worth it. I used the CW self bag drop on the way out having checked in online after completing verifly, not a single person in that queue vs hundreds in the economy queue next to it and probably 50+ in the normal CW queue.

Our flight back from Austin on Wednesday they were quite strict about masks. It does seem to vary considerably though, not entirely sure why. In fairness you don’t have to wear them at LHR any more they’re just strongly encouraged. As much as the various US airports we flew through on our trip harped on about masks compliance was definitely waning. Lots of chin or lip wearers, a good half of people once seated within the airport taking them off despite that not being the rule. Rumour has it the mask mandate is about to be abandoned due to industry pressure but we’ll see. It does seem quite odd to be able to go to a packed music venue one day with no precautions whatsoever but the moment you step through an airport door federal law requires a mask.

Club suites are great aren’t they!

Done 10 states so far this year as the rules have been slowly rescinded and it’s definitely getting much better there. Got another 4 states to visit at the end of next month so be intriguing to see where they’re at by then.

Correct, direct to Tampa with BA. I have seen them and BA passengers online mention the VeriFly app so will get it closer to time.

Could anyone please advise our best/cheapest option for testing? Had all jabs.

Many thanks.

My daughter and I did our tests with Klarity today. Couldn’t have been any easier. I unpacked the tests, logged onto the call and a woman literally sat there and watched us poke the cotton buds up our noses. As soon as the control line had come through clearly on the tests she was satisfied and emailed the certificates to me. All in all it took ten minutes from start to finish!

Uploading the certificates onto the VeriFLY app was slightly more complicated as it didn’t like the QR codes from the Klarity certificates, but I uploaded the whole certificate manually onto the app and within ten minutes someone at VeriFLY had checked them and verified them. Easy! So tomorrow we’re off to Florida for ten days smile

Like you I don’t always read the last 20 pages. Klarity buddy is your answer if still needed when you fly.
