Wind blowing a hooley from the NE which is the main wind direction so I would say no, BUT it supposedly blew over our internet antenna hence weve got about 1 Mbps today......So thats no iplayer/netflix/Ozzie tennis then!........So that leaves about 150 german channels to scroll thru! And a few Spanish ones as well. Cant wait for the Spanish weather report al la Fast Show. SCOCHIO..... (its 19 o C)!!! Bugger.

Just walked 3kms to catch the 1027 bus for Haria's sat market, that never turned up, so decided to walk to the next village about another 3kms away, rather than sit on my arse for 2 hrs... as the next bus was due at 1227...1/2 way between bustops at around 1125, a bus passed us. I said quite a few uncomplimentary words about Spain, spanish people and spanish buses in general!

It's £25 for a single day from Autoreisen at the airport but if you book a whole week in advance then it works out at £15 a day.

When you consider the typical airport to accomodation taxi cost, a car is a no brainer unless you have to pay to park.

Also if you have a late return flight it's somewhere to store your luggage after you check out.

Not least because the main roads on Fuerteventura are fantastic and have very little real traffic and who would want to be stuck in the same resort for 7 days?

Some people go away to chill out for a week, so staying in the same resort isn't an issue.

Yup sometimes we don't even leave the hotel if we do just jump on the local bus.

Fair point. While we normally get a car, we have had a couple of holidays where we just wanted to relax in the sun.

It's a bit quiet, not much there really.
We stayed at La Tejita on the other side of the red mountain, I think that is a nudist beach at one end but they do have a little shopping mall with at least an Indian restaurant. I haven't been for several years but we had to drive to Los Cristianos for entertainment.

It isn’t at the moment.

30th Jan to 6th Feb (so in a weeks time for 7 days) is €155 / £137 for the cheapest car - £20 a day.

I booked mine for the same period but a month or so ago so it was. They're like airline ticket prices, they go up and down. Also worth rechecking before you go. I booked one in December for a high price but a week later it was back to normal so I cancelled and rebooked.

And if you tried any dates for the next few months you will see that the rates have increased to £20 a day if you book a whole week.

So unless you have a time machine then the £15 a day you said they can be booked for is simply not true.
