Care to narrow it down?
I suspect a good few PH'ers will have been here.
My guess would be near a nice town, in a region you may want to spend some time in, close to a border.
Feel like i've seen something like that whilst driving around Nice/Isola/Gap area.
Did a driving route around that area including the Col du Turini and up to the Col du Bonnet. Wouldn't be able to say exactly where it was as we didn't really stop as had a fair amount of miles to cover that day.

That's in the Alpes Maritimes somewhere on one of the Route des Grandes Alpes southern variations between Isola and Menton.
Not a section of road I've been on recently during my (almost) annual 3-day motorcycle trips to that area from here in Geneva over the past twenty years. My favoured itinerary soon became 2hrs of motorway to Grenoble, then the Route Napoléon south to Digne-les-Bains, and find a decent auberge for the night.
At sunrise (to beat the coaches and camping-cars) off to the Gorges du Verdon, cut north up to the N202 and west towards the redrock-tastic Gorge du Cians. Spot of lunch in Beuil, wind down to Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée then back up north on the RdGA via Isola, Col de la Bonette, Vars, etc., then sleep over in Briançon.
Final day would be the Cols of Galibier, Télégraphe, Iséran, (lunch in Val d'Isère), Cormet de Roselend, Saisies, Aravis... and back home in time for tea and medals

Last few posts were all in the right neighbourhood, but you're closest.
All yours.
