The Petronas Towers are quite a sight at night!

Take a walk around China Town at night, lots of iffy market stalls selling not quite so genuine brands, but good for a laugh. Be careful with the cabs out there, some will try to rip you off, at least they did with me and the GF. Avoid the really battered ones and go for the modern blue coloured cabs for a fair ride.

No they arent.

Night markets are great. Go to the Batu Caves, quite fun feeding the monkeys there. Also Central Market is worth a visit.
When did you last go up there and how much did they charge you?

Edited to say; Just googled and theyve started to charge this year. 10 Ringget = ï¿¡2, still excellent value

I went up in June, paid 40 ringgets for the higher viewing platform. We started queueing at 7:15am. Even if there doesn't appear to be many people there doesn't mean they dont go quickly. Everyone in front of us was bulk buying (between 20 and 80 tickets). The guy looked at us a bit strangely when we asked for just two.

What do you want we've written loads on here in the past, good 'expensive' places to eat with client, Top Hat, Flames, Chalet, Chankit Bukit Bingtang for bars, contry to whats written earlier avoid indian bars as there are fights a lot of the time like nearly every night. Wisky bar is good, Fish and chip place is good, beach bar for girls, hard rock if you like hard rock's. China town for the market, Petronas Twin Towers if you get the ticket the day before.
No car activity this week that I know of last weeknd was the racing at Sepang and it is now closed untio MotoGP.
All the buiness hotels are OK.

Sky Bar is very cool with great views of Petronas Towers, especially at night.

Yep. We stayed in that hotel. The Sky Bar was very nice and unusual with a swimming pool in the middle (and yes, people did fall in!)

I'm in KL at the moment, last weekend this coming before I go home.
Very hot and humid, bring an umbrella!
I will be going to the Beach Bar on saturday night, not been there before so will be checking it out, locals from the office are showing me some of the sights. I've read the reviews so it will be interesting!

Maybe not if you've only got a couple of days though, or if you don't like steps.

There is a cool reggae bar somewhere near China town, its pretty full of backpackers, but has a nice vibe about it and you do get a fair few locals as well.

Met a rather nice (and exceptionally rich) half Russian half Persian girl in there who was training to be a pilot out there. Her Dad sent her $10,000 a month to live with - she had a 4x4, 3 bed house in about 2 acres of garden, house servant etc. Interesting lass, and was up for some fun as well, but getting in a car with a very drunk girl and trying to drive half an hour out of town, only to get back into town for 9am next morning didnt appeal.

Went a month ago. Batu caves were great, china town at night very good and the national square was really good in the evening. Some cracking little places to eat, ask a tour guide as we did and they will tell you where the locals go. Stayed in the Traders which has a great bar (with pool!!)and opposite the Petronis towers.

Really enjoyed the place, not sure I´d want more than 3-4 days, but really great place
