They had red and white. I have to say I do love the Corvette, there is something right about them, including all the flaws

I hate the fact they have to put a front plate on, it just looks sooo wrong
Agreed! It does stand out like a sore thumb. Is that just a Caledonia thing or US wide now?

I have one of these booked for June. I assume given they're convertibles and have virtually no space, that my luggage will become my passenger? biggrin

I will be based in Laguna Beach for 3 nights. Is there much around in terms of fun roads? (I know there's Ortega). I think i might take a day for a trip out to Joshua Tree NP (other recommendations welcome!). This is the end of a coast to coast trip, so i'll probably have done 6,000 miles prior to getting the Corvette!

If your spare day happens to be a Saturday, may I suggest going to the cars and coffee meet. Its basically where the wealthy owners of flash cars us plebs can only dream of meet up. It starts at 7am iirc at the mazda tech place in
Irvine on Saturdays. (Or at least it did 3 years ago). Plenty of videos on youtube giving an idea of the sights and sounds you should expect to see. Tip - when people start leaving, go stand by the exit and turn your ears on!

It has its own website/forum, so info is easy to find.
