Ryan Air would have sent you an email breakdown of the charges for both flights. Put those details up and we'll have a look, otherwise we cant help you.

Ryanair are cheap!
Think you'll find that its the current 'Government' imposed travel TAXES.
Strange in these times to TAX people going and coming into the country, with the current economic climate I would have thought encouraging tourism is a good idea not TAXING it ?
Errr. No. Airport "taxes and charges" are set and are nowhere near as high as charged by certain "lo-cost" airlines.

The airport passenger charges are variable, but the Air Passenger Duty is a set rate.

* Economy class flights in Europe, internal UK flights - £10
* Business and first class flights in Europe - £20
* Economy class long-haul flights - £40
* Business and first class long-haul flights - £80

There could be a long debate about the APD, especially about when it was increased and the Government decided to charge people the extra retrospectively. That went down like a cup of cold sick.

If you bought a Lada and it didn't drive very well, would you complain?

Well why on earth do people complain about Ryanair. Just don't use them in the first place.

They fly to out-of-the-way airports and treat customers like scum, yet still millions of people fly with them.

this is a topic that has always annoyed me. ryanair have done more to lower the cost of european air travel than anyone else. if you feel hard done by, don't use them. i don't expect good service from them, but i do expect and often get cheap short distance flights.

i recentley flew from ireland to the uk return for 12 euro. thats one euro each way plus ten euro credit card fee. to put that in perspective if i were to get a taxi home from work(6 miles) it would cost about 20euro.

taxes are "free" sometimes because the airline pays them, in the same way they can sell you a flight for 1 euro. it's a limited number because obviously it's not economically viable for every seat to cost one euro.

Maybe then its the way they advertised the Taxes, and indeed surcharges. At the end of the day you are being TAXED to go somewhere, if you dont like Ryanair, fly with someone else

Aer Lingus whack on a 'handling fee' of £8 per flight which is not advertised until you get well into the booking procedure and after you have selected the flights at an indicated fare.

Booking fee is a p1ss take too, only way to not pay it is to have an 'Electron' card, which you can only have if your unemployed or very poor.
Pretty certain there is no fee on Visa Delta but still costs £9.50!
I've opened an Halifax Easycash account and bunged £250 into it. It's one of the few accounts that offers an Electron card. I've now got the Electron card just to pay for any Lyanair flights. It's a small victory over O'Leary.

I've flown Ryan Air maybe 30 times. Every time the plane has been on time, landed on time, smooth flight, and I couldnt fault the overall service considering averagely only on board for around 1.5 hours.

EVERY SINGLE RETURN FLIGHT has cost less than the associated Air Port Car Parking Fees.

What's the issue?
