Tryvann in Oslo:

20 minutes from my front door to pulling my goggles on, still waiting for some snow though.

Best bit is they sell piping hot Vimto when you're finished.

Whereabouts? I have a place in Sunpath, opposite the library. We're going on Boxing Day for 2 weeks. Might be fun to have a Pistonheads bash in the GLC?

"Powderheads - freeskiing matters" biggrin

We own a suite in the Hilton so we are only 30 seconds from the main lifts. We are hoping to look at some houses over the xmas period as we love the place so much, but the prices are rather on the high side.

We will be flying out on the 23rd Dec but will spend a day in Vancouver then drive up. A Pistonheads bash sounds like a laugh

I wont be staying for the Olypics for two reasons, first I dont want to go all the way to Whistler to watch other people having fun and second the rent we will be getting over that period is going to cover my costs for the year biggrin

We own a suite in the Hilton that could not be at a better location as it is only 30 seconds for the main lifts

I met an English family a couple of years ago while in the complex, who owned a 3 bed. If you're a lawyer, could it be you?

Streetrod - sounds good! Shall we swap mobile numbers closer to the date? I'll PM you

So... lots of us Pistonheaders are also Pisteheaders as well! We're off to Mayrhofen on Boxing Day (bloody good wheeze gets us out of the family hassles) and Serre Chevalier at the end of January.

oops, must have missed this one, started one in sports redface

we're hitting a few places this season, chamonix is a dead cert, but I'd like to squeeze at least one, ideally two others in before finishing the season at the snowbombing festival smile

Sounds like a plan to me. Do you ride a plank or ski's? I'm a single planker myself

Double planks for me. Somehow I never got used to landing on my head every third turn. Call me weird smile

I have a new pair of Rossi SC97s in my owner's locker that I bought at the end of last season, which deserve some big mountain workouts. No doubt we can find some suitable slopes for both of us.

Just booked to go to Whistler for 10 days at the beginning of March. I'm really looking forward to it. We did Breckenridge last year, so it'll be interesting to see how it compares.

I have a brand new Burton T6 big mountain board propping up the wall in my bedroom at the moment and have ordered a new Star Wars Storm Trooper styled helmet from RuRoc to complete my ensemble:

Whoozit, what kind of skier are you, do you go looking for the POW and off piste or the speed of the groomers?

Pow and off piste/steeps if the conditions are good, trees and groomers otherwise. A buddy of mine guides for Extremely Canadian, where I generally don't have too many issues keeping up unless it is very steep/with exposure. I'm thinking of going for some cat skiing this year to get some consistent powder runs.
