We'll have been and gone by then biggrin I was going to go for a budget room, but the Reveron Plaza looks worth spending a few extra quid on.

Can recommend the Reveron Plaza. Nice central location in town square.
We've also visited the Aguamar a couple of time. A bit out but not bad.

We've stayed at los cristianos 3 years on the trot, great place, very relaxing. Used to be very cheap but prices have risen due to exchange rates, so now not much different from UK prices. Negatives are the market (dont bother unless you want cheap tack) and the looky-looky men/women who are constantly in your face on an evening. Apart from that, great place, lovely beaches, relaxing, stunning weather. Highly recommended.

El Medano is rubbish so avoid it.
I've just been first week of March and the weather was fantastic.

As for value for money, it bloody isn't, everything is foolish money, mainly for food.

depends on your definition of foolish. I found the prices for food about the same as here in the UK, but if you are on a budget just grab a pizza for 2Eu and an ice cream for 1.5 Eu.

The exchange rate killed the cheap element of tenerife many years ago, just dont eat out at expensive restaurants every night.

We managed to eat at fairly good restaurants for ~60Eu a night for 4 including a few cokes. Avoid buying wine, same as the uk they will charge you silly money e.g. 3Eu for a large glass of white, same bottle in the local shop being also 3Eu.

Being a cheap bugger we avoid having dessert in an restaurant and just grab an ice cream from the nearest kiosk and eat while wandering down the beach.
