Bridge Of Orchy - There is a layby as you head north on the left past the hotel at a long straight, not so important as you'll have slowed for the "village" (really just a hotel) but they're really there to catch people heading south as it is a fast stretch of road. The other favourite spot is a camera van around the Ski lift entrance on the Rannoch moor. Just also watch the stretch up the side of Loch Lomond, few laybys where the traffic also sit (Inverbeg etc.)

Will make notes, thanks again!

Are the traffic guys the sort to hang a laser-gun out of the window and just zap anyone who looks too quick, or to actually 'patrol' and then pull people they think are being silly?

Bit of both really, the van is a "fixed" camera whereas usually at the Bridge of Orchy and the lochside its usually a hand held gun where as you say if you appear to be driving hard then they're likely to point in your direction wink
