Easter? Slim to none at the moment I’d suggest.
I'm hoping possible (although assuming there will be testing required to arrive there and get back, and likely still quarantine on return). Vasco said:

How does this "declaring" of the reason for travel actually work? Will they (airlines?) have a form you need to fill in and sign or is it a verbal declaration?
I think they've said that there will be forms that need to be completed, and possibly sample checked.vaud said:

I have a holiday cottage in Devon about to be advertised once the renovations are complete. The managing agency say that demand is at levels they haven't seen with most places booked from April through to November with the average stay being longer
Seems like many people are choosing to stay in the UK, less risk of cancellation or quarantine.
Had planned to go to France. Too high a risk of needing outbound tests, inbound tests and quarantine. Could see that tests alone could add £1k to the holiday.Seems like many people are choosing to stay in the UK, less risk of cancellation or quarantine.
So 2 weeks in Norfolk instead near to Holkham, a perfect beach for social distancing (it's massive)

Based on my last trip to Norfolk I'd pay not to go. Hope the weather treats you kindly. Assuming we are talking about summer, my current plan is to go for 6 weeks, work some of it. Man maths says it makes the test cheaper (per week).
Been their twice in the last 4 years and it was great, 36c on Wells beach... vaud said:

Absolutely terrible weather on all those summer UK trips apart from the first 3 days of Cornwall. It was sunny but not hot then very cold, horizontal rain and some of the thickest fog I'd ever seen.
Watched that Cornwall Fisherman programme the other day filmed around the same time. It was a named storm apparently, stopped the boats going out for a couple of weeks.
That's the biggest risk of a UK holiday and they are not cheap. I guess places will have gone like hot cakes and prices will be at a premium.
I really can't be bothered if it's going to be hard to find somewhere especially if you want good weather, you need to be prepared to go on a whim.

A wonderful part of England, probably rather busy this year.
North Norfolk coast is normally busy in the summer and sold out, so I think it will be fairly normal. I used to go as a child around Salthouse so some of it is a series of flashbacks. To be honest I don't plan on doing much.
Few beaches, book a few NT places in advance. Go for some walks and picnics. Change of scene. Take out fish and chips and lots of BBQ at the rental. Switch off work email. If it rains for 2 weeks then we still walk, etc, our kids are pretty hardened (have to be living in Yorkshire)
Anything else will be a bonus.

You are quite right about Cornwall, I go every summer and have for the last decade more or less, I love the place but you can't guarantee the weather at all, even in August. I didn't go last year but I have booked again this summer, the prices weren't too bad when I booked in October last year for this summer but I noticed supply was going fast so I can imagine by now any space left is at a significant premium.
We’ve done plenty of holidays in England & each & every time the weather is always better at home. If it’s good weather at the time where we are in Surrey is always the hottest. Sitting in your holiday cottage whilst it’s pissing down outside to see it’s 28 degrees at home.....
Coupled with carting the dogs about it can be hard work. So we’re just gonna stay at home this year especially given the premium on UK places this year.
Going abroad, no chance that’s gonna happen this year.

Today
Here in Canada all flights to and from Mexico and Caribbean are cancelled until April 30, and all incoming travellers from anywhere must be tested and quarantined for three days at their own expense in government nominated hotels. If positive they are required to complete quarantine in the same location. Would keep Canada off the vacation list for now.

No UK holidays for me thanks - the food and weather are appalling and even at best it's still a miserably overcrowded, overpriced and dismal experience and that's gonna get a million times worse this summer if nobody else is traveling abroad.
I'm absolutely going nowhere until Europe opens up again.

You can’t pick the weather but you can just go to a nice country house hotel, indoor spa, good food and it won’t be crowded. I'm absolutely going nowhere until Europe opens up again.

Why do you think there’s no chance of going abroad this year? Coupled with carting the dogs about it can be hard work. So we’re just gonna stay at home this year especially given the premium on UK places this year.

Is that just you not wanting to go abroad or do you feel that others won’t be able to?
No chance of going abroad either means there will be a U.K. ban on non essential travel (like now) for the whole year or most countries you might want to go to will introduce bans on tourists?
Personally I think restrictions in the UK will be easing by Easter and there will be every chance of going abroad on holiday this summer (like last year) with very different rules and restrictions for entry to different countries, just as there is at the moment.

We did that last September - took in 3 places over 8 nights or so around Northern Ireland here.
If we've any chance at all to get away on a foreign holiday at all this year thats definitely what we'll be doing instead.

Same here, my family member working at easyJet was telling me their summer bookings are up 250% for the summer. There’s a huge demand for summer foreign holidays from U.K. customers. As long as you book with someone that has a good cancellation policy then what’s the problem? I’m right up for getting away again this summer depending on what the quarantine rules are but hopefully the U.K. will be adopting something more scientific this year with increased airport testing etc,

I don't think it will be very relaxing relying on a covid19 test to get home and your life is at the mercy of a flawed test or as I recently heard, it can show positive if you have had it within the last 3 months (i got told this from someone who recently tested positive at a hospital)Is that just you not wanting to go abroad or do you feel that others won’t be able to?

There’s no indication that will be the situation though? As ever each to their own and we’ve all got different thoughts on what we can put up with or what we’d still manage to enjoy or just find a hassle.
I’m going to wait and see what the situation actually is and base that on whether we go away or not.
